Cool, I could see where this would be useful in the current oil crisis. A robot fish could direct fish away from the oil and other toxic chemicals in the water.

This actually makes senses as a place where iPads might be useful. Just as some PDAs are useful. On site access to data involving any sale, etc.

This is a nice program to have if you want free firewall protection. I am glad that Zone Alarm has finally seemingly learned from past mistakes. I might have to take the new Zone Alarm for a spin.

Google Font Directory
This is about time. I wonder if I can find my font or add a font to the Google Font Directory?
'For a long time, the web has lagged print and even other electronic media in typographic sophistication. To enjoy the visual richness of diverse fonts, webmasters have resorted to workarounds such as baking text into images. Thanks to browser support for web fonts, this is rapidly changing. Web fonts, enabled by the CSS3 @font-face standard, are hosted in the cloud and sent to browsers as needed,' explains Google.
Google not only hosts the fonts, but it also makes it easy to add the fonts to a page with a single line of HTML code. For example, if you want to use Droid Sans, add this code in the HEAD element:
<link href='http://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Droid+Sans' rel='stylesheet' type='text/css' />
Then you can use Droid Sans in any CSS rule:
h1 { font-family: 'Droid Sans', arial, sans-serif; }
This is not an image

Google's code works in almost any browser. For Internet Explorer, Google converts the fonts to EOT (Embedded OpenType), a proprietary format created by Microsoft.

I am sadden by this change. I was so looking forward to buying my Nexus One from the online store. I just needed to wait for my existing contract to end and also to raise enough money to pay for it.

This is cool tech at its best. In a few years I would not be surprise if we match "Ghost in the Shell" level of bionics.

iPad Wifi/3G
On Sunday I was able to finally see and touch a iPad with the 3G access that a friend had bought. Although it was fun to play with, it was still limited in what I would consider useful to my own needs. If its going to cost the same as a laptop, it needs to be able to replace a laptop in my opinion. Will have to still wait and see if the OS 4.x will make any useful improvements such as improved multi-tasking.

Now this is good news. Maybe this means they will add the tech to the new Chrome OS. It would be a nice feature.
